a Temple of Lord Badrivishal on banks of Alaknanda River .

Badrinath Ji Temple
Main attraction of Badrinath town is temple of Lord Badri Vishal ,The Badrinath temple has seen
so many modifications due to damage caused by avalanches. The
current structure of Badrinath temple has height of fifteen mtrs
and also has a gilded cupola. Cheif preist ( Pramukh Mahant ) of Badrinath temple
is known as 'Rawal', Chief Priest of Badrinath Dham comes from Nambooripad Brahmin family of
Kerala. Badrinath temple is divided into 3 parts as " Garbha Griha "and
" Darshan Mandap " where the
holy rituals are conducted and the "Sabha Mandap"
where all devotees assemble.
Tapt Kund is the famous hot water sulpher spring which is located just below
to the Badrinath temple at left hand side.
The Tapta Kunda has a temperature of approx 55 Degree Celcius approx.
It is belived that a dip in Tapt kund
is must before enjoying Darshan of Shri Badrivishal ji, It is said
that Water of tapta Kund has medicinal values & Dip in Tapt kund is
considered holy and refreshing to the body too.
Neelkanth is a lovely peak of the great Himalayas, Neelkanth peak is located at height of

The Mata Murti temple is situated approx three kms from Badrinath ji
temple and located on right banks of Alaknanda river , The Mata Murti
temple is dedicated to the mother of Lord
Mana village is the last Indian village on China border side , Mana
village is located on Badrinath Tibet route, Mana is located only 3 kms from Badrinath town.
Mana is inhabited by an Indo-Mongolian tribe, In past, locals of Mana
village were doing business with Tibet , Villagers of Mana village
vacate village in winters and move to Joshimath with their
belongings and cattle , Villagers come back after winters when snow
melts and temple of lord Badrinath opens. As Badrinath temple is
main source of livelihood for people residing around Badrinath.
